We found joy.
Both of us have already had the realization of Senior Year slap us in the face. Our first three days back at school have been polluted with quizzes, case briefs, cadaver labs, etc. And then there are jobs, leadership roles, clubs, functions . . .
All in the first three days.
It's been hectic. And, with so much going on, it seems almost routine to let Satan steal our joy. But, we remind ourselves and each other that he has no power to do that. Joy is innate, a gift given for God's glory. And it can't just disappear.
Happiness can be temporarily lost, but joy remains through all.
And it can be far too easy to forget that.
So, as a reminder, we try to always find joy in the little things, like studying together. It's not the most exciting activity, but we can do it together. And drink coffee. And eat brownies. And laugh.
And that's what we do. To save our sanity amidst chaos, we find joy in the little things.
