Day 15

We . . . slacked off.

With the start of school, we did not anticipate the busyness that was headed our way.  School monopolized the majority of our time with class and studying.  Trying to start the semester off right did not prove to be easy or something that we really cared to do. We continued to press on.

The joy of the first weekend of school was upon us.  Sadly, it did not involve much excitement.  With no football game, Baton Rouge resembled a ghost town of sorts.  Lauren was busy building bears, helping to make the dreams of young children come true as they found their new best friends.  I created art, watched the Saints lose to the Titans, and enjoyed some time with friends.

The second week of school came too fast.  Was it really that time already? Monday came and went, along with the rest of the week.  Time seems to be flying by at a pace that doesn't allow time to stop and roll down the windows most days.  Trying to be studious hurt our friendship as we focused on school and couldn't spend time with each other.

Lauren is turning over a new leaf in the study realm and has kept up the good work thus far.  A shocking surprise to anyone who knows of mine and Lauren's lofty ideas to change our lives just about every other day.  Working over 40 hours just about sent Lauren into crazy land.

I started the week with the not-so-favorite class, Cadaver Lab.  What an awesome way to start off the week by looking at dead bodies, right? Life continued and Discipleship Group with Clint began along with other happenings.

Another weekend was here! Kathryn left for the ATL in order to watch our Tigers play their first football game against UNC.  It was certainly an adventure almost leaving her and 4 other friends homeless.  Other highlights included trying to find a place to buy food and having to ask a homeless man, living in a mansion for a couple of days, and seeing the best friend! Jacob is the other member of the best trifecta anyone could ever imagine (abbreviated JKL).  We both miss him greatly.  It was a great time to catch up and remember the good times that they shared.  TheTigers won but just barely.

Lauren spent the time sick, but the dedication that she has shone through as she continued to work.  She put together her new desk all by herself.  She's definitely the handy one and all together more well rounded of the two.

Tonight Kathryn and Lauren reunited at the WalMart.  What a white trash reunion it was, but a grand one at that.

And now, we press on, remembering to find joy in all situations as this new week is fresh upon us.

xoxo,
best friends
